These ten magazines - - all from the 1950?s and all 8.5 x 11.0 - - are overall in near fine condition - - with just touches of handling wear, a slight bit of creasing or corner crimping showing on the soft covers - - with the interior pages in near fine condition and showing very few markings or damage. This batch of magazines includes six copies of Drum Major Magazine - - edited by Don Sartell - - and each issue is filled with articles and numerous black-and-white photos about marching bands, twirling ideas, features of Miss Majorette of the Month, sequence photography for twirling maneuvers, and more. There of two issues of Marching Band and Majorettes published by Fred de Liden of Los Angeles, who is also the editor for the publication. These two magazines again include numerous black-and-white photos of marching band formations, baton leadership and performance, costuming, and more - - with each publicizes being 24 pages - - with considerable advertising. The WFL Baton Twirling magazine is published by Ludwig Drum Company of Chicago, IL - - and this is primarily a baton twirling instruction manual with 48 pages of diagrams and black-and-white photos on style and technique - - with no advertising to compete with the information. Finally - - one copy of On Parade - - published by the All-American Drum and Bugle Corps and Band Association.
