The eighth volume in Arthur Haygarth's monumental 14-volume work (a 15th was added by FS Ashley-Cooper in 1925 and a 16th by Roger Heavens in 2003). Covers the period shown on the spine, 1863-64. The first four vols published by Frederick Lillywhite, the rest by Longmans for the MCC. A full set of "S&B" is an essential part of any cricket library. Large 8vo. xi +541pp. Original cloth-covered boards with bands and gilt trim and tooling to spine, title in gilt lettering to spine and front. Bookplate of J.W. Goldman. Very good condition.
