Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine. Fourth Printing. Signed by Father of Dedicatee. 6 x 9". Gray cloth with titles in gilt on front panel; yellow dust jacket with titles in red and black and color photo illustration on front panel. Inscribed on dedication page by Baron von Falz-Fein, the producer of a 1962 movie based on the book. Laid in is a portion of what was apparently a blue band with information relating to the film. Mild crimps to spine ends, small rubbed spot on fore-edge of front free endpaper, otherwise text is in pristine condition. Jacket has some mild wear to top edge and flap folds, small closed tear (1/2 inch) to top edge of rear panel, overall excellent, intact, with good color and shine. "The Weakling was a little Liechtenstein cow with great ambitions. She wished to be the champion milk producer of the year, wear her milking stool as a crown and lead the procession of herds down the mountainside in the age old Liechtenstein harvest ceremony." The book is dedicated to Baroness Ludmila von Falz-Fein, pictured on the cover as a child, and is a presentation copy signed by Baron Falz-Fein, who is presumably her father and was the producer of the film based on the book. 53 pages, illustrated with black-and-white drawings by Franz Deak Size: 6 x 9".
