About this title

Synopsis:

Lords of Cricket is a 'must' for all devotees of the game as it contains all-new portraits of cricket's living greats. This personal selection by Jocelyn Galsworthy represents a cross section of those people who have made a significant contribution to the noble game in all its aspects, whether they are players, commentators, umpires, groundsmen or well known personalities with a deep love of cricket. Jocelyn Galsworthy is world famous for her cricket paintings and all the subjects have sat specifically for this book. In full colour throughout and with forewords by Australian Prime Minister John Howard and Field Marshall The Lord Bramall, this book will be the ideal gift for all cricket lovers and a unique record for our time.

About the Author:

Jocelyn Galsworthy has been painting professionally for more than 30 years and has painted many famous faces including the Princess Royal. As well as painting portraits she has turned her attention for the last 15 years to depicting cricket matches ranging from Tests at home and abroad to county and club matches worldwide. The woman in the white hat, sitting on the boundary, recording matches for posterity has now become a part of the cricket scene. Jocelyn lives on the Isle of Wight and also has a studio in London.
