About this Item
G. P. Putnam Sons, 17 printings, stated; Fawcett Crest book number D896; cover price 50 cents; page edges tinted red (here with some spotting at top and fore). This Fawcett Crest edition was a short-lived (circa 1963-1965) transition between the more common Fawcett Crest movie tie-in d338 (the difference here being a slightly smaller photo of the girl (who is not Sue Lyons) and a tagline change from "the most talked-about movie of the generation" to "novel of the generation") and the text-cover Berkley Medallion S1258 first printing in November 1966. The book is unmarked; spine slanted and creased; a closed tear along the top two inches of the spine; edgewear and creasing; sleeve protected. Seller Inventory # 013814
