1946. (Hardcover) Very good, no dust jacket. 335pp. Burgundy cloth with gilt lettering to the cover and spine. Photographs, glossary, index. The spine is lightly cocked and faded and there is a previous owner's ink stamp on the front and back endpapers and half-title page. "This book is the result of a lifetime association with the bees. First there was a childhood when an indulgent beekeeping grandfather lived close by the author's home, thus permitting an early acquaintance with the ways of the honey producer.
