Very Early printing (first issue was 1894). Brown cloth with gilt titles. Publishers green tinted closed page edges (faded). Front and rear hinges have exposed webbing (where paper has pulled away), but still a very tight text block. Interior hinge is 'overextended" at page 58-59- but still a Very Tight text block. Original dark green end-papers are clean/no markings. Frontispiece with tissue guard in place. Crown and foot of spine cloth has just started to fray. Interior pages clean; A 1" closed tear to lower edge on title page and a 1" closed tear to one other page (margin) - NO paper loss. Light age-toning to margins overall - does not detract. A few pages have shallow creases to foredge margins. Fabulous copy. No jacket. 239 pages. 0Protected in a mylar slip. Seller Inventory # 002206
