First edition. Pamphlet. Octavo (222mm. ) Pp. 8. Contents clean. Stitched as issued. Publishers light grey printed wrappers, with a few very small open and closed tears, spine sometime repaired with archival repair tape. A near very good copy of a rare item. The Wordsworth Society was founded in 1880 in Grasmere, in the Lake District. Charles Wordsworth, Bishop of St Andrews, was elected President, George Wilson as Treasure, and William Knight, Secretary. The philosophy of the Society was to establish ?a bond of union amongst those who are in sympathy with the general teaching and spirit of Wordsworth?.
