About this Item
French language. Édition ornée de gravures sur bois originales par Alfred Latour. A Paris, Chez l'imprimeur léon pichon. 1920. Limited edition, as shown on back page, #176 of a limited printing of 350. Soft cover. See photos for condition. Cover is wrapped in a waxy, clingy paper that is toning (brown streaks) and ripped in a few places along the back-bottom, corners and spine. Soft paper cover ripped off at the very top and bottom of spine. Corners curled. Initials imprinted on a few pages (See photos for example). Previous price in pencil on front endpaper. Some spotting and blemish marks on front endpaper. Some foxing on back endpaper and adjacent pages. The glue in the binding appears to have dried up and lost efficacy, so the pages are appear to be mainly held together by the 3-4 inch thread in the center of the gutter. As a result, some gutters look grimy due to dried glue. Also, some pages show separation/cracks at the top and bottom (see photos), and some even feel a bit loose, but all pages seem to be firmly attached by the thread - so no pages are falling out and overall feel comfortable to turn. Where binding thread is visible, there is toning/browning around the thread. Pages appear clean and clear of highlighting, writing, markings, underlining. Seller Inventory # ABE-1724797586761
