About this Item

Black buckram with green backstrip and black lettering. Light bump to head and heel of spine and corners. Text is clean and bright, no marks. DJ shows chips and small tears head and heel with small loss to head of spine. Minor general soil. Nice jacket design by Ira Goldblatt. "The story of Louisa Mary Datchett, who was "very fond of men"- indiscriminately fond of men, in fact. Men, for their part, seemed to recognize this in her and took advantage of it- and of her- when they needed listening to, when they needed prescriptions filled, employment found, socks washed, suits fetched from the cleaners, or musical instruments got out of hock." (from the jacket). Bookseller Inventory # D101010
