VG+/1st ed. Jonathan Bryan was born in 1708 in Prince William's parish (Beaufort South Carolina). He was the youngest child of Joseph Bryan, owner of the plantation known as Providence. This is a record of his life in Georgia, starting with the founding of Savannah with Oglethrope, through to his death at age 80, having lived in Georgia for 50 years. Jonathan Bryan was an important civic and political figure in the Georgia and South Carolina colonies, owned a great deal of property in both and owned Brampton Plantation. Book condition is Very Good+; hand sewn binding is firm; there is no foxing, soiling or markings in book. 97pp. First Edition. Brown cloth covered boards have some rubbing to corners, and to the head and tail of spine. Some small spots on back panel. Gilt letter title is bright on front cover. A well preserved copy.
