Beveled blue boards ruled in blind with faded and rubbed gilt titles, 12mo, pp. 502. Tissue-guarded frontispiece of Hancock and other Illustrations and maps, perfect with the Table of Contents. Original owner fancy signature on front and rear free end paper, the rear one with an 1880 date. Original owner's stamp on free front end paper is crossed out by a subsequent owner, as is a signature at top of Prologue page. This later owner has also placed at least 3 Marietta, Georgia, name/address labels at various places. Book is FAIR-only with much wear at spine ends and board tips. A good deal of exterior discoloration, as well. Random outbreaks of foxing. The bottom page tips at 379/380 and 381/382 are missing with no loss of text.
