Ex-library copy with all the usual stamps and markings, including withdrawn stamped on the front cover page and pocket on back cover page and barcode on back. No dust jacket. Cover boards are black with silver lettering on the spine; there are a few small white scuff marks on the back; some wear at the folds of the spine edges; a tiny bit of shelf wear on the bottom of both boards and both corners, with a bump on the front board at the bottom corner; slight wear on both top corners. Text is clean and tight. This is a very small book with only 38 pages, first published in 1869, here reprinted from a copy in the Fisk University Library Negro Collection, First Mnemosyne reprinting 1969.
