1694. Glasgow, Robert and Andrew Foulis, 1753. Small 8vo, pp. Iv, 181, Greek text followed by the Latin, FIRST FOULIS EDIITON, of Plutarch on "How the Young should Read Poetry". Rare reprint of the John Potter edition of 1694 by the editor who also was named "The British Elzevier ". This copy belonged to John Wordsworth [1805-38], son of Christopher Wordsworth, noted classical scholar of Trinity Cambridge who died young. 1 vol volumes. Bound in contemporary dyed panelled calf, upper joint cracked but sound, a very good clean copy. Seller Inventory # 130418
