A beautifully-penned inscription on flyleaf: "Eliza Hampson. A prize for application & propriety of conduct. Knutsford. 1822." Mild handling wear and rubbing; inventory note and twentieth century ownership inscription under aforementioned inscription; binding is square and tight; generally clean and tidy.
