438 p. 18 cm. Whitman portrait opposite p. 29 with tissue guard intact. Softcover. Spine chipped and darkened but date of 1892 legible. Some soiling and creases to covers. Rear cover coming loose. No title page, front cover repaired internally with lined paper. The so-called "deathbed edition of 1891-92" is, technically speaking, not a distinct edition but a reprinting of the 1881-82 edition with "annexes."
