First edition. Folio (24.5 x 15cm). pp. [iv],23-82,298,[2]. Complete with the first & final blanks, the intial section which is assumed to have contained 'A Treatise on Religion', was suppressed & not present in any known copy. Stain affecting upper margin of first 13 leaves including the two initial blanks, outer fore-margin of first 4 leaves, then another 16 leaves, but much reduced and only in inner-upper margin. A few minor marks to text, but a very pleasant clean copy. Bound in contemporary reversed calf, with triple-line border in blind to the boards, the board fore-edges with single gilt line, rebacked to style. Vg.
