Synopsis: From dust jacket notes: "Lasansky: Printmaker is a catalogue raisonne of all the prints of Mauricio Lasansky from 1933 through 1973. The book contains 135 black and white reproductions, and 24 of those are also shown in color. A detailed description of each print prepared by John Thein and Phillip Lasansky under the supervision of the artist is included. The book contains a memoir by Carl Zigrosser, art critic; a biographical and critical discussion of Lasansky's aesthetic development by Alan Fern, chief of the prints and photographs division of the Library of Congress; and a detailed essay on the prints by Stephen Rhodes, a former student of Lasansky and currently director of the Blanden Art Gallery, Fort Dodge, Iowa. The book also has a chronology of Lasansky's life, a selected bibliography, and a chronology of art exhibitions and competitions."

The pages are clean, bright and excellent, the binding square and tight, the hard cover gently shelf-rubbed at spine ends and free corners, otherwise clean and lovely. The jacket is unclipped; it does bear short creases near the spine head, a pair of very small, closed tears with a crease between at the top rear edge, a short line of chipping at the top front edge, spots of rubbing and minor chipping at the spine ends and corners, and a line of surface rubbing at the front foreedge, but remains remarkably clean and bright and is now protected in a clear sleeve.
