Oxford University Press (Geoffrey Cumberlege), London, England, U.K. , 1950. "Fourth Impression December 1950" (stated) of Second Edition (stated). Fine in a Good Dust jacket. The Text Block is clean, white (with tanned edges), tight, straight and square with no markings of any kind. The Binding is full dark green cloth with no color loss, bright gilt title, etc., to spine and all corners square. The Dust Jacket is age tanned, with the original price (7s. 6d.) intact on the front flap, a sunned spine and some chips and tears, the latter of which have been discreetly closed from behind with archival (pH neutral) materials, See photos. 97 pages. 4 3/4" x 7 1/4". A romantic comedy play in verse set in the middle ages about a war-weary soldier who wants to die and a woman, accused of being a with, who wants to live. An early production starred Richard Burton, John Gielgud and Claire Bloom. The play won the New York Drama Critics' Circle award as Best Foreign Play of 1950 - 51. Seller Inventory # 000303
