A self-published, stated First Edition, considerably shorter than the more readily available econd Edition, signed by the author on title page, book is not dated. Book describes the author's time spent on Mayne Island, one of the Gulf Islands off of the West Coast of British Columbia. The story gives an interesting account of life on the island in the 1920's. Blue card covers with red titling, chart of Mayne Island on cover, staple binding, includes facsimile of letter from Lord Charles Kennedy, Marquis of Ailsa, Culzean Castle, Ayrshire, Scotland(1947) and letter from Prince Von Bismarck to Colonel L.G. Fawkes(1888),30 pages. Spine is slightly sunned, some light creases to front and back cover, upper left front corner lightly bumped extending several pages into book.
