33 illustrations, many from instantaneous photographs. 352 pages. Olive green cloth with gilt decoration and lettering on front and spine in superb condition, top page edges gilt. Excellent tight copy of one of the cornerstone books in the ladies' library of golf. This second edition published three years after the first edition is enlarged by one chapter of 16 pages: "Ladies' Golf During the Years 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907." This chapter is not mentioned in the table of contents! Light toning to pastedown, light foxing, the final chapter most affected. Noted collector Joe Hackler's bookplate on front pastedown. Tipped in auction slip indicates (as noted by Hackler on the bookplate) that this copy came from the collection of noted golf author John Kerr. Covers protected in mylar.
