Front wrapper detached, with long horizontal tear through the figure of Taylor, rear wrapper lacking. Minor scattered foxing. Good. Untrimmed. The expanded, campaign, version of this laudatory biography, issued to support Taylor's bid for the Presidency. The erratic pagination suggests the speed with which it was cobbled together. Includes an account of Taylor's defense of Fort Harrison in 1812, the Battle of Okee-chobe during the Seminole War in 1837, and the battles of Palo Alto, Resaca de la Palma, Buena Vista, and Monterrey.
