In German. This book about the important German Dadaist artist, Kurt Schwitters, was given by the author, an important artist in her own right and an internationally known expert on Leonardo da Vinci, Kate T. Steinitz, to the Oscar Award-winning documentary filmmaker, Robert Snyder. The book came from the estate of Robert Snyder's wife, longtime UCLA dance professor, Allegra Fuller Snyder, the daughter of R. Buckminster Fuller. How's that for a complicated set of associations? It has a very cute doodle by Kate Steinitz that includes her initials (the signature) inside a heart, a short notation in German, the date (1963), and the words "For Bob Snyder" on the title page. The book itself is in Near-Fine condition, the only blemishes consisting of some very faint marks on the covers and spine that could either be very slight rub marks or very faint soiling (they are very faint and hardly visible on the black cloth) and some dust soiling and speckles on the book's crown. Otherwise, the book is in great shape with no bumped corners, no rub wear, no other marks etc. Dust jacket is not clipped and has no chips or tears but is a little soiled and has some faint scratch marks. We will bubble-wrap it and ship it in a sturdy box to ensure safe delivery. Bookseller Inventory #
