About this title

Synopsis:

"...charming, poignant, and moving, while being thought provoking and truth revealing...enjoyable reading for all. More importantly, it will further the reach of the Gospel of our Lord and bring glory and honor to Him." Mary Perdue, former First Lady of Georgia *** "KNOW LOVE is a book about Life and the high octane fuel of love"... which "...lays a strong foundation of passion and love we all relate to"...and is..."filled with the power and Presence of God's Spirit... I had been so depressed and just unable to function, and then I received this book. It was no accident. I have read many books on the subject but none written in such a down home manner that it feels like your mom or dad could be the author. It is filled with a sense of friendship, mentorship and fellowship that the spirit of the author has with his Lord. I love the beginning fires of love and passion in your young heart for your bride...It is so important that we are reminded of the true meaning of love and the value for love in every aspect of life." Evangelist Gloria Gainor *** "KNOW LOVE reaches deep into the life experience of Bill Ivey to remind us that in a broken world, the only answer and the sure answer, is the love that is God's greatest gift to mankind." Pierre Howard, former Lt Govrnor of Georgia

About the Author:

Bill Ivey holds a BBA from Georgia State University and became the youngest CPA legally possible in the state of Georgia. He became the Controller of a multi-billion-dollar bank and bank holding company, Trust company of Georgia, predecessor of Sun Trust, as well as a partner in a CPA firm. He once walked from Nashville to Atlanta to be a speaker at and to encourage attendance at, the annual Pro-Life Rally at the Georgia State Capitol. In his fifties, he ran 91 miles in 24 hours to raise money for a Christian ministry. Among early distinctions, he served as co-captain of his high school football and track teams. Ivey has published from a Christian viewpoint in newspapers and magazines across the state of Georgia for several decades. Know Love is his first book. He lives with his wife Francie and two of his four adult children in Tucker, Georgia, where for more than three decades he has been active in Rehoboth Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist Convention church. At his church he has been a departmental director, a teacher, and a member of the church finance committee. For years he served as a chaplain to prison inmates through his father-in-law’s ministry, Highways & Hedges Christian Ministries. Born in LaGrange, Georgia, 1939, he was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2002. Now in 2016 he has a goal of living on earth longer than his parents (91 years each) and longer than his grandfather’s 98 years. He even is wondering if we should seek to follow the example of Enoch, who “walked with God” and never died. He is trying to be keenly aware of opportunities for benefit from the long-life promise God offers in the Fifth Commandment for honoring your father and mother. God keeps His promises. So Ivey closes this biography by saying, with great appreciation, “It was such a blessing to be so loved by Daddy and Mother.”
