A VERY GOOD - volume of this vintage young adult story. Illustrated with b/w line drawings. An ex-private town library copy with authentic card slip at rear (Stating 'Children's Historic Collection') and a period book plate at front, reading, "bought by The Pequot Library Association". A 1/2" paper # on lower spine. Five page tips are creased, sixth page tip chipped. Outer leather spine hinges are 'cracked' with some webbing showing, but still a very tight text block and book boards. Gilt spine title still bright.A few page margins are age-toned.
