First English edition thus. Translated from the French by Samuel Putnam. Originally published in Paris in 1929. The story of a young French woman whose life in the Paris of the 1920s began with nude modelling and moved on from there. Hemingway's introduction was written in 1929 for the first edition of this fascinating look at life on the Left Bank in that storied decade. Some foxing to the cover and yellowing to the pages. There are also two reading creases but the binding remains tight and square. Like Kiki was reputed to be, lovely. Bookseller Inventory # 1106
