The text block and illustrations are in very good condition with no dogears, tears, or marks (there is some foxing or staining on a few pages; page V does have a corner fold). The pages are age-tanned. There is no bookplate nor signature of a prior owner. This is not a library book nor a remainder, but inside the front and rear covers is printed ?This Books Is the Property of the State of Texas? along with lines for student names (none here) and other textbook information and requirements, including an indication that the book was to be used from Feb. 1, 1941 to Jan. 31, 1944. The blue cloth boards are in fair condition (edges are rubbed, bumped corners, bumped spine with worn spot at top, smudge on front cover). 7 ¼ x 5 ¼, 362 pages, 18 ounces XX About the authors: Kate W. Kinyon was the director of Home Economics in the Denver Public Schools and L. Thomas Hopkins was a professor of education at Teachers College, Columbia University and a Curriculum Specialist at Lincoln School of Teachers College.
