Quarto; 9 ½ in. x 11 ¾ in., [1-4], [5]-240 pp. Bound in full, old mottled calf, with a richly gilt spine, divided into six compartments, with various gilt designs, red morocco title label, gilt-lettered: JUVENALIUS, with a smaller label near base of spine, reading: BASKERVILLE. Cover edges, leather turn-ins show simple gilt borders; all edges stained yellow, sewn headbands. Binding is unsigned, but appears to be from the 1790-1830 period. Engraved, heraldic bookplate (Inniskillen) on the front paste-down, with a modern bookplate below this. Name inked in upper right of the facing front endpaper: J Sinclair. Outer hinges are weak, with splitting, chipping away of some leather at spine and lower front cover; covers show some nicks, abrasions, wear to cover edges/corners; some tanning to endpapers, titlepage; text, generally is clean & crisp, with good sized margins.
