Crisp, unmarked 2nd printing, one year later than the 1st edition hardcover in green paper covered boards. Foot of spine and one tip bumped, others still sharp. No names, tears or soil. Un-clipped color illustrated dust jacket is a professional reproduction that has small rubs at tips, but displays beautifully in new mylar. Text is a *smidge* musty but not offensive, no visible water damage. When Janice Maddever takes up her first job, caring for the horses belonging to the rich, unhappy Jervis family, she finds that there is much more for her to do than just look after their mounts. In their different ways, each of the Jervis children needs help and they look to Jan to provide it. Warm-hearted and sunny-natured, she does not fail them. In her efforts to help, Jan becomes involved in many exciting adventures. Her riding skill and lovable personality attract the attention of the organisers of the local Pony Club and with their help and encouragement Jan rides to triumph at the White City.
