A Near copy in a Near Fine, unclipped dust jacket, with two closed edge tears. During the years covered in this fifth volume of Nin's journals she is again on the move. She is drawn to Acapulco, Mexico, lives for a short time in San Francisco, then settles in Los Angeles with intermittent trips to New York and Paris. Wherever she goes she attracts writers, artists, composers and film-makers. Among the notable are James Leo Herlihy, critic Maxwell Geismar, writer Christopher Isherwood, Caresse Crosby, Jean Varda, author actor Charlie Chaplin, author Richard Wright, and her long time friend Henry Miller.
