Two volume set. Hardcovers; no dustjackets, as issued. This is an Ex-Library set. Library markings include: Library numbers on the lower spine; blind stamp on the title page of each; an inked number at the bottom of the 2nd (facsimile) title page; and evidence of label/pocket removal on the endpapers. The fold-out map is present at the front of V1. The map is somewhat age-toned, but clean. It appears that the paper labels on the spines have been replaced at one time, as they appear to be too clean. Edgewear to the boards, and with some surface rubbing. The hinges are cracked. The page edges and the title page of V1 are age-toned. There is an ~1" x 1/4" hole at the bottom of the 2nd (facsimile) title page of V2; not affecting the text. There is a pencilled inscription on the rear flyleaf of V2. Else the pages are clean.
