Synopsis: What is the meaning of life? What are our obligations to God and our fellow humans?
In this expansive fictionalised account of the Messiah's life, Joshua - a carpenter from Galilee - feels that there must be a better way for people to live together than the one that he sees and experiences.
In order to find out how and answer some of the fundamental questions of life, Joshua embarks on an epic journey through the great civilisations and empires of Rome, Greece, Egypt, Babylon, and India. On his travels, he learns about the philosophies and teachings of - amongst others - Akhenaton, Cicero, Aristotle, Plato, Confucius, and Buddha. We too learn about the philosophies, events, and people that help to shape the values and beliefs that Joshua practices when he returns home to his native Israel to discover its people are on the brink of rebellion after suffering at the hands of great Roman brutality.

About the Author: Born to an orthodox Christian family in a Hindu culture, Dr Theckedath Mathew secured several post doctorial diplomas in Western Medicine and a doctorate in Eastern Philosophy. As a cardiologist he has lived and practiced in four continents of the world, which gave him the unique privilege of mending the hearts and touching the soles of several thousand human beings.
