Jack Bilbo was born Hugo Cyrill Kulp Baruch in Berlin (1907-67) after escaping Nazi Germany he established the Modern Art Gallery in London which became a centre for expatriate artists. Internally clean and sound. Red buckram cloth covered boards with stamped gilt titles on backstrip. Some sl. fading at tail edge of backstrip and light wear to fabric along tail edges and at head of spine. Colour illustrated dustjacket has chipping at corners and head and tail of spine, general shelf wear, minor closed tears to edges, rubbing and surface abrasion. Now protected by plastic book wrap.
