Beautiful book on the work of Dutch Painter Josef Israels, a leader of the "Hague School". Illustrated with 8 Full Colour Tipped In Plates and 79 Monochrome Illustrations. Frontispiece is a portrait of Israels, protected by Tissue Guard. Brown cloth cover with blind stamped decoration and Gilt title within linear border to front. Gilt lettering to spine. Edges beveled. Top page edges gilt. Title page dated 1924. No inscriptions except an old penciled price in top corner of ffep. Frontis slightly loose. Seller Inventory # 007811
