In wrappers, published as "SUPPLEMENT Der 'Mittheilungen' Der Deutschen Gesellschaft Fuer Natur- Und Voelkerkunde Ostasiens." A translation of the first two books of the Nihongi and related texts into German by Florenz, who was a professor at the University of Tokyo at the time. He was also known for his translations of Japanese poetry, which were published as illustrated crepe paper works by Hasegawa. This is the original offprint edition of this interesting and very scarce work. Slight soiling and foxing. The printed paper spine, glued down over the sewn signatures, has split at page 96, leaving the text block in two parts. Otherwise a very good and clean copy. $228.00. Seller Inventory # 67255
