252 pages, All edges gilt, illustrated in b/w from the authors private collection , and a coloured frontis and line drawings by Bod Khun. Bound in a ivory bonded leather with gilt elephant head to the upper cover, a fine copy in the publishers card slipcase. Limited to 1000 copies signed by the author and Jim Rickhof. There is also a personal inscription from Tony Sanchez to Malcolm Lyell to blank verso of the frontis. Malcolm Lyell (1922-2011), a hunter, an adventurer and manager of Westley Richards London showrooms he had many connections and friendships with big game hunters of the day. Also includes the loose 8-page addendum of "mistakes occurred in the book". Elephants and elephant hunting throughout Africa, with much on the early elephant hunters, as well as the author's own experiences and a section on rifles for elephant. Seller Inventory # 22678
