Copper plate engraved title page. [xviii], 531, [34]pp. Collation: Title, 2 to 8, , A to Mm in gatherings of 8, Nn in gathering of 4. Approximately 7 ½ inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition title is almost invisible due to wear, bruised top and tail. Joints good condition rubbed, intact and strong. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition full vellum binding with blind tooled decoration to the front and rear, the board edges are turned in by approx. ¼ inch which encases the pages (yapp edges), there are two identical black marks on the front and rear boards, both boards are marked due to age/wear. Page edges good condition top edge darkened, fore and bottom edges tanned and foxed. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition hinges are very tight making it difficult to open it fully, some straining. Paste downs good condition plain, tanned and foxed, the front paste down has a signature on it. End papers good condition plain, tanned and foxed, Title good condition b/w copper engraved title page, tanned and foxed, there is a small crease along the bottom edge of the title page. Pages good condition tanned and foxed throughout, some marginal tearing not impacting the text. Binding good condition sound. See photos Publisher: see above.
