Quarto. Pp. [x]280. Contains the poems of the Irish bard Thomas Moore, including such beloved songs as "Believe me, if all those endearing young charms," and "The minstrel boy to the war has gone." Every page is framed with the flowing designs and illustrations of Daniel Maclise, another Irishman. Moore in his Preface wrote "an Irish pencil has lent its aid to an Irish pen in rendering honor to our country's ancient harp." Internally fine, in a plain morocco binding, gilt titled to spine, with raised bands. Rubbing and wear to extremities, and along outer hinges. Front hinge tender. Small inscription to front endpaper.
