Gilt-titled blue ringbinder in landscape format 21x15cm. (5)pp prelims including colour photo portrait of the Shah and Empress Farah + 197pp including several drawings some of which in colour + (7)pp Map Index + b/w folding map + corrigenda slip. All pages appear to be present against the Contents (p5). Binder fine with some fading to titles, interiors near fine. This was originally issued when the AWC was formed in 1969, when members "decided that what a lady newcomer really needed was a guide to living in this host country; getting to know its people, how and where to shop, tips on communication, transportation, traffic, travels and so forth". A second edition was issued in 1971, and this edition "contains all the best" of both, updated to 1975 (p3), with sections on Tehran and Iran. Very rare. The AWC also produced a cookbook (1976).
