Synopsis:

Indigo has a secret, and it's growing too big to hide! Weighed down by a dragon that makes him feel frightened and ashamed, Indigo tries to defeat it alone, but his family won’t let him. With their support he finds the courage to look his dragon in the eye, and discovers something amazing that raises him up and brings him joy.

Set in a timeless fantasy land, and told as a rhyming fable, this moving and enchanting LGBTQ+  book shows how lives can be transformed by honesty, courage and loving support. Readers who feel themselves to be different in other ways will also recognise themselves in this story – as may anyone who has ever experienced the weight of anxiety, self-doubt or guilt. Written by Krista M. Lambert and illustrated by former Waterstones Children's Laureate, Chris Riddell, it is a beautifully illustrated book about finding acceptance from those you love and coming to terms with who you are. For young readers age 7 and up.

The book is part of Pop Up Projects’ 10 Stories to Make a Difference collection. The collection features a mix of well-known and emerging writers and illustrators, giving a platform to untold stories and diverse new voices. This edition is a beautiful clothbound hardback.
