Several of the issues have "Boston Wholesale Prices Current" listed, and makes for interesting reading. In addition many of the issues have "Price of stock" and give some details of the then stock market. Local news are reported, as are all kinds of foreign and other states' and territories' news. General Jackson is frequently mentioned, in some issues as having a feud with a Judge.The period here also covers in great detail the political upheaval in South America and the reports and numerous and frequent. Reports from Bolivia, Chile, Mexico and other places are prominently listed. All issues also have approx. two pages of advertising which makes for both humorous and interesting reading.The August 22 issue has a lengthy article on the death of Napoleon Bonaparte and the August 25 issue covers the funeral in some detail.August 29 issue has listings of all the military promotions the President of the United States directed the commanding general to promulgate.One of the September issues related a trial for piracy of the schooner ÔEvergreen' taking place.The December issue has an interesting article "Remarks of Mr. J. Barbour, In the Senate, on introducing his proposition to amend the Constitution so as to limit the number of Representatives in Congress.".
