A very good copy of the time, with very minor shelf wear and loosening of the front hinges, never extending to loss, and very light foxing of the edges. A truly attractive copy, nonetheless, with very bright gilt work, and stunning colour frontispieces, still protected by tissue guard. A fine set of the first edition with supplement, some of the later printings, which having fewer illustrations. The colour plates are similar to those in Robinson The Garden magazine.
