Book Description Boston. Little, Brown, and Company. ., 1919. Blue Publisher's Cloth. T.e.g. Illustrated. Plates and maps. (illustrator). Fourteenth Edition. 8vo. 380 pp., 428 pp. Copyright 1892. A. T. Mahan (1840?1914) wrote extensively on sea power as a medium of national power and international influence. This is one of Mahan's classic works, one of two works which established his fame , books in which he develops the concept that international power was predicated on control of the sea. His ideas. based on details of maritime history, have cogent relevance today, although the methodology of sea power has changed. Very mild wear at ends of spine and at corners. A few penciled marginal notes and underlinings. Very Good. DAB. Seller Inventory # 7935
