Fifth edition (Cheap Form) of a book first published by Methuen in 1928. The blue boards have a one inch patch of fading at the bottom of the spine, a half inch patch of fading at the top of the spine and a little fading around the edges with bumping to the corners. The endpapers are browned with a gift message to the original owner on the front free endpaper. Scattered brown spotting to the pages at the front and back of the book with a few light stains to the first few pages of the text. There are a few spots here and there through the book but the pages are generally otherwise unmarked. The jacket has quite a bit of wear to the spine which has a one inch piece missing at the bottom and a half inch piece missing at the top. There is also a narrow one inch long strip missing from the top right corner of the rear panel, chipping with a little loss to the corners and a two inch tear to the bottom right corner of the front panel. I will generally use whatever method is covered by the standard postage charge but if you specifically wish to have it sent surface or airmail or anything else please ask and I will amend the charge accordingly. Please only choose the cheaper surface mail option if you do not mind waiting - the suggested upper time limit for this form of delivery is 60 days and it can take that long - and sometimes a bit longer.
