Antique paperback in red pictorial wraps with yellow & white lettering; cover photo of Marilyn Monroe hugging Tony Curtis & Jack Lemmon dressed up as women. Movie tie-in screenplay of the United Artists film starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon & Tony Curtis about two musicians who witness a mob murder & take it on the lam disguised as women with an all-girl band! A box office success, the film was lightly regarded by film critics during its original release, although it did receive six Academy Award nominations, including for Best Director and Best Screenplay. It was released without however, a Production Code seal of approval, withheld due to the film's unabashed sexual comedy. 8 pages of B&W stills from the movie are bound in but not numbered within the text. 144+8stills, Billy Wilder (born Samuel Wilder, 1906?2002) was an Austrian-American filmmaker. His career in Hollywood spanned five decades, and he is regarded as one of the most brilliant and versatile filmmakers of Classic Hollywood cinema. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director eight times, winning twice, and for a screenplay Academy Award 13 times, winning three times. I. A. L. Diamond (born I?ec (Itzek) Domnici; 1920?1988) was a Romanian?American screenwriter, best known for his collaborations with Billy Wilder.
