About this Item
Size: Rectangular Folio. Text body is clean and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Top edge gilt, faded. Black leather and brown & tan striped paper over boards, gilt stamped on front cover and spine, ix, 66 pages, [2], twelve color plates, no author stated, no date, but written inside the front cover is 1857, which seems about right. Corners and spine ends bumped with leather worn and chipped, also along edges, covers scuffed and soiled, four short scratches in the cloth on front cover, gilt worn a bit; front hinge is loose, finger smudges on several pages, some scattered chipping on page edges, some creases in endpapers. The color illustrations are all present, and while there are some which have some smudges and/or soil, these are in the blank margins and the image itself in very good condition. "The chief objects of the present Work are to give what is believed to be a and to draw attention of believers to a part of the word so eminently typical of the Lord Jesus, and which has more correct delineation, from Scripture, of the Tabernacle and its vessels, than has yet appeared; hitherto been but little investigated, and feebly appreciated."
