About this Item
First Modern Library Giant edition. Introduction by George Sherburn. Boards a bit mottled, presentable, but good only, without dustwrapper. Although not marked as such, this copy is from the library of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Peter Taylor and his wife, the National Book Award-nominated poet Eleanor Ross Taylor, with Peter Taylor's ownership signature, as well as the presumably earlier ownership signature of Taylor's first important mentor, Allen Tate. Tate succeeded in convincing Taylor, who was studying under Tate at Southerwestern at Memphis, to leave for Vanderbilt in 1936. Seller Inventory # 366398
