Originally in two volumes, this is volume 2 only. Front joint cracked but inner hinge still strong. Title on red morocco on spine still very bright. Leather moderately worn but small piece of leather missing at foot of spine (about 1/4 inch) revealing light colored binding material underneath. Some soiling and light foxingl. Many of the upper page corners were bent at one time to mark pages. Does not affect text. Notes on front blank flyleaf and old bookplate on front paste-down endpaper. Bookplate simply reads Thomas R. Holt's No. 38. On positive side, all original contents including endpapers and helf title are present. Size: Octavo, 268pp. Bookseller Inventory # 2697
