Pages de titres en rouge et noir. - Titles and prelims printed in red and black, with engraved portrait of Frederick IV and folding map in volume one, bound in contemporary French mottled calf, spine gilt with raised bands and double olive lettering pieces, rubbed, edge abrasions to leather, spines worn and a little chipped at heads and tails, early ownership stamps on titles, else a sound clean set internally, SECOND EDITION, an enlargement of the first Amsterdam edition of 1730 (7 volumes ), which brings the history down to 1732; this first Paris printing is scarcer and more complete than the earlier Amsterdam one. 9 vols volumes.
