2008 first edition, Aerial Seven, Inc. (Sioux City, Iowa), oblong 11 x 8 1/2 inches tall paperbound, copiously illustrated with black-and-white and full color photographs, 146 pp. Moderate rubbing and edgewear to covers, with a one-inch closed tear to the fore edge of the front cover and creasing to the upper tip. Bumping to lower tip of rear cover, with resultant slight creasing to lower page tips in the end of the book. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce local history. Not in OCLC. ~P~ A history of Sioux City, a city in Woodbury and Plymouth counties in the northwestern part of Iowa. Sioux City and the surrounding areas of northwestern Iowa, northeastern Nebraska and southeastern South Dakota are sometimes referred to as Siouxland, especially by the local media. Iowa is in the tallgrass prairie of the North American Great Plains, historically inhabited by speakers of Siouan languages. The area of Sioux City was inhabited by Yankton Sioux when it was first reached by Spanish and French furtrappers in the 18th century. Seller Inventory # P-0671-7488
